The book spent over a year on the New York Times bestseller list, was translated into dozens of languages, and was adapted for Apple TV+ with Brie Larson in the role of Elizabeth Zott. Garmus has cited her own experience with workplace sexism as a direct inspiration. She lives in London and Seattle.
