James Franklin is an Australian mathematician and philosopher at the University of New South Wales. He is known for defending a form of mathematical Platonism called Aristotelian realism and for his work on the philosophy of mathematics and probability. Beyond The Science of Conjecture, his books include The Science of Conjecture's companion What Science Knows (2009) and An Aristotelian Realist Philosophy of Mathematics (2014).
